Hello, there!! I thought a little introduction/about me would be PERFECT for my very first blog post! I will try not to bore you too much, but I do tend to ramble, so we will see!
My name is Connie- I am a wife, mother, photographer, dog mom, beach lover, travel enthusiast.
I married my best friend, Sean, in June of 2012! We got married on the little island of Antigua, and it was such a beautiful day! I love looking back at our wedding album at the amazing memories! In July of 2013, we had our daughter, Brooke Madilyn. Our lives changed forever, for the better, and she showed us what true unconditional love feels like. We just adore and love her so very much!! Our little family would not be complete without our furry babies, Atlas and Lexi! They think they are human, and we don’t mind!
My husband is in the Navy, and will be leaving soon on his 5th deployment in 6 years. It has been a crazy journey full of ups and downs, but it has made us even stronger as a couple so I wouldn’t change it for anything. I will say that having your family separated so frequently makes you REALLY appreciate and cherish the time you do get together. Simply having dinner together and watching a movie feels like a BIG deal.
I am super close with my parents, and feel lucky to get to live close to them. Not all military spouses get that privilege, and its one that definitely does not go unnoticed. They are so supportive and always helping us when its needed, and having fun with us when its not! Family will ALWAYS be the most important thing to me, and I feel so lucky to have a super close family who all get to be together for holidays and summer events. There are normally about 40 of us at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It can be pretty hectic at times, but always fun!
Photography has always been a huge passion of mine, but it really took off when I had my daughter. I just could not get enough photos of her as she was always changing and growing. I was always dragging my husband to a new location to check out or texting him about a new styled session idea, I just could not get enough photos! I suppose I still do this though. It is a good thing he is patient! Love you babe ;).
Besides photography, another passion of mine is traveling. I love exploring new places, and getting to see how other people live. I have been fortunate enough to travel to Europe a few times, and around the Caribbean. I hope to pass this on to my daughter. I want her to grow up with an interest in the world and wanting to see as much as she can of it. There is so much to see!
I always, always have like 10 different projects going on at once. I love decorating, crafting, scrapbooking, really anything creative. Hey, I always finish the projects eventually it just takes a few..
I feel so blessed to get to capture the most important times in others lives, and give them something to look back on forever and smile. Thank you to all my past clients for helping to make my dreams come true, and I look forward to meeting you future clients!
